Despite all the taboo surrounding pink, we have to agree all shades of it are lovely and cheery. If your wardrobe is full of pinks and you tend to gravitate to pink each time you’re at a store, then you’re bound to pack a lot of pinks on your next holiday as well. While we’re all in for the colour, we’ve put together some tips on how to wear the shade this season so you don’t end up looking like a kids’ toy.

1. Shade By The Occasion

If you’re out in the evening, go for more subdued shades of pink, like peach, azalea, dusty rose, and blush. If you’re at the beach, then do not hesitate to funk it up with some bright corals that are fun without the sickening bubble gum pink color.

2. Color Combine

Pair your pinks with shades of navy and beige. Dresses in these shades look both classy and pretty. And they keep your outfit from looking too boring. Maybe pair a pink dress with a navy or beige jacket, or high waist beige pants with a cute pink crop top.

3. Accented

Make pink the side-kick of your outfit and watch how the strong color comes out as the hero in your attire. Experiment with pink belts, shoes, ear rings, necklaces on a simple solid outfit.

4. Pink Pants

A light shade of pink looks really flattering on any body type and you can pair your pink pants with a classic white top, black summer cardigan, or a long light-sweater top with sneakers. You could even experiment with some blazers and striped shirts. Denim here looks great too. Pair a short sleeved denim shirt with a white top over your pants.

5. Black and Leather Add On’s

Pair pinks with a black skirt or throw on a leather jacket. Both make any pink outfit very bold and fierce. Try leather pants and black cardigans as well to cut the extreme brightness that some types of pinks can have.

6. Cuts!

We all know how important it is for the cut of a dress or an outfit to flatter your body. If you are going for extremely bright and adventurous shades of pink, look at options that are fitted and classy as opposed to voluminous and child-like.

7. Attention to patterns

Bold patterns look great with subdued shades of pink, but don’t look at polka dots with pink because that tends to enter the kid’s section territory.
